More about the featured guest Chef’s
Joel Cordes and Steven Draheim from Barrio and Jonathan Hardy from the Blacksmith Restaurant

Steven and Joel are the head chefs and coowners of new local hot spot “Barrio.” While both are classically trained chefs who have worked at restaurants of renown throughout the west, their love of Bend, friends, family and delicious, honest neighborhood food spurred them to open Barrio.  Lunchtime is much like the rotating menus from their carts on the corner by the Blacksmith, while dinner is focused on Spanish “tapas style” dining and to die for paella.

Jonathan Hardy spent his early years living and traveling the world with his family. He started in professional kitchens at age thirteen, and now at age 28, he is the Chef de Cuisine and the wine & beverage director for the Blacksmith Restaurant. Jonathan joined the Blacksmith team in 2005 and through perseverance, talent and education, quickly rose to the position he holds today. He now spends equal amounts of time with the talented kitchen staff of the Blacksmith and in the dining room and bar, sharing his love for wine and beverage.
