When the BendFilm Opening Night Receptions is over, head over to the Blacksmith for the VIP Bash.  Thursday, October 6 at 9:30, including a special cocktail menu celebrating this years’ films with tunes from DJ ATL, followed by DJ RIVER who will be pumping out the jams for dancing until the drinks stop pouring.  Enjoy the specialty cocktails and plenty of snacks into the wee hours.

The Sagebrush Classic, now simply called Sagebrush, has been benefiting the Central Oregon community for 22 years; raising more than $2 million for nonprofits through its popular golf tournament and feast.  This year the event has expanded from a single weekend to a week-long series of events that will benefit more than 100 area nonprofits. The week long event culminates in the Sagebrush Feast at Broken Top on Saturday July 16, 2011.   The Blacksmith’s Chef Gavin McMichael will be participating in the Sagebrush Feast with 17 other world-class national and international chefs.  ”It’s the main event of the summer,” says Chef Gavin, “having the opportunity to work with some fantastic Chef’s from around the world and support local charities makes the Sagebrush one of the highlights of my year.”

DJ Harlo “your friendly neighborhood DJ / Composer” spins Friday & Saturday nights (June 10&11) at The Blacksmith After Dark.

Currently working as a Professional Audio Engineer & DJ. “Harlo” has come from humble beginnings. since first hitting the turntables at 17 performing at local High School Parties to pursuing a small career in Community Theater. Finally in 1997 Harlo took on live DJ Performance as a career. Debuting in his first DJ battle in 1998 Sponsored by Vestax Harlo’s path was clear. Since then Harlo has been the godfather of Bend, Oregon’s dance movement. as the 1st DJ to bring turntables to the mainstream Oregon scene in 1999, Harlo as touched or influenced just about every Electronic Musician to come out of Bend. during this time Harlo has achieved his Masters for audio engineering & Post Production, created a Reason certification class that is used in many recording schools across the USA and opened Mixed Heritage Studios, a medium scale Recording & Post Production studio in Bend, Oregon.
